DWTS: Sabrina’s Out

October 30, 2007 By: Puteri Category: TV shows No Comments →

Tonight’s result is simply shocking! I had thought either Jane or Marie would be eliminated tonight.  And when it was down to the bottom two, Sabrina and Cameron, I thought it would be Cameron.

But Sabrina?  This is totally unjust!  What were the voters thinking?  Did they think that Sabrina was going to make it through so they voted for Jane and Marie instead? Sabrina has been the most consistent performer in the competition.  You could tell that she was in the competition to win.  Poor girl.

Ooopss. I did not vote.  :-(

PR Angst

October 30, 2007 By: Puteri Category: Blogging News No Comments →

I mentioned how pissed I was about my most popular blog, Puteri’s Musings, at dropping one notch from PR 3 to PR 2. I have been reading about the whys blogs have lost their ranking and the only thing I can think of, as it relates to my blog, is the paid posts that I do on that blog.

All my friends whose blogs did not have any rank before this have theirs gone up from PR 0 to PR 3. It seems it is easier to get a 3 from a 0 than it is to move up from a 3 to a 4 or even remain a 3. One blog I know of is updated regularly but she also does paid posts, and her blog only moved from 0 to 2. If she had not done any paid posts I am sure hers would be a 3 too, because her blog is no different than the others who moved from a 0 to 3.

We will see if those blogs who got a 3 from a 0, will remain a 3 the next time Google does the ranking thing, especially if those new PR 3 blogs do paid posts. I doubt very much if they will, unless Google changes their mind about penalising bloggers for doing paid posts.

On the bright side to this latest round of PR thing, all my new blogs have gone from PR 0 to PR 2. I wished though, as least one could have gone to a PR 3. At least the disappointment of dropping one rank on my busiest blog won’t be so bad.

DWTS Update

October 30, 2007 By: Puteri Category: TV shows No Comments →

I have been so lax with updating this blog! Anyway since the last post most of you are aware that two more contestants have been knocked out. Floyd Mayweather and Mark Cuban.  Tonight another one will be knocked out.  The weakest this week were Jane Seymour and Marie Osmond.  I like them both and I’d hate for either to be eliminated.  But the competition is really stiff at this stage and every one of them deserves to continue on.

It is apparent from the number of men that have been eliminated that the women contestants are the better dancers this year.  I really like how much Cameron Mathison has improved and you can really see that his confidence has grown.  Helio has always been smooth except in the last two weeks, the problem could have been the choreography.

I can’t believe how much Mel B has improved.  She is indeed a strong contender to Sabrina who is without a doubt in a class of her own.

I look forward to the results show tonight and I look forward to hear Barry Manilow sing!  :-)

Wayne’s Out!

October 10, 2007 By: Puteri Category: Uncategorized No Comments →

Finally Wayne Newton is out! He should have been out last week. Instead poor Albert Reed had to go instead of Wayne.

I agree with the judges that the competition is a bit stiff this season compared to previous seasons. One thing though, how come Sabrina Bryan is so much younger than the other lady contestants? She has so much advantage over the others, youth, agility, energy … you know what I mean. The closest of the ladies that can compete with her in youth and energy is Melanie Brown.

However, I am very happy with the performances of Jane Seymour and Jennie Garth this week. Jane Seymour was stellar in her performance and Jennie Garth was amazing!

As for the men, Helio’s performance was indeed a little bit disappointing after last week’s superb performance. Mark Cuban is earnest but still not as good as the others. Cameron did really well, I think, this week.

Anyway, so far I am enjoying this season, as much as I did in the previous seasons.
