DTWS and AI Clash

By Puteri, March 18, 2008 11:07 am

Last night after watching the premiere episode of the Dancing with the Stars 6th season, I said I was looking forward to watching the ladies dance tonight.

BUT!  American Idol is on at the same time!  I am pissed!  Why do they have to do this?  Every year, I am forced to switch between DWTS and AI!  And what I missed, I have to catch on YouTube!  Thank goodness there are those who bother to put this video clips online!

I know this is about TV ratings, but there are some of us who don’t watch anything else on TV except for these two shows! I don’t care about what else is on TV!

Baby phat purses

By Puteri, March 18, 2008 11:00 am

One of my greatest passions is purses! I make them myself, buy those made by others, and love to browse through the purse sections at the stores. Recently I acquired three new purses, and I am now eyeing some baby phat purses especially for my nieces. Their spring and summer totes are colorful and stylish, just the kind teenagers love to carry. I particularly love the Spring Starlet Tote. I like the clean look.

I love the Emerald Eye Clutch especially in white. I have lots of brown and black purses but none in white. If I go ahead and get this, it’ll be my first white purse. I also love the white Woven Glam Tote. I don’t think I can afford all three.

Who says I have to buy three at once? Exactly!

DWTS is back!

By Puteri, March 17, 2008 10:03 pm

My other favorite TV show premieres its 6th season tonight! I think Jason Taylor is hot! He’s tall, good looking and very graceful on his feet despite being the football athlete that he is! I think Cristian de la Fuente looks hot too but he needs to work on his posture.

Penn Jillette is so funny for someone his size he was surprisly quick on his feet! Except he needs to work on his footwork.  Mario was smooth, and I think he can go far in this competition.  As for Adam and Steve, they were so so, but with a some work they both can do a lot better.

The ladies get their turn tomorrow night.  I can’t help noticing how old Priscilla Presley looks.  I was taken aback when I saw Monica Seles.  I thought she was Heather Mills! She does look a lot like Heather Mills and nothing like her tennis playing days.  I remember how the audience hated her grunts!

I’m looking forward to seeing the ladies dance tomorrow and Kristy Yamaguchi already has a slight advantage with her ice skating background.

Silver Cufflinks

By Puteri, March 14, 2008 3:03 pm

I have always found it hard to get gifts for men especially for the man in my life! I have never bought my husband clothes, or men’s jewelry but maybe it is time I consider getting him some men’s accessories.

A pair of Silver Cufflinks would be nice. I’ve always liked silver, and silver like gold, is timeless. It never goes out of style and a pair of well designed cufflinks can indeed go a long way.

I checked out the silver cufflinks at Tateossian.com and I especially like the sterling silver and white Mother-of-pearl “Bullet” cufflinks with whale tails. The bullet shaped cufflinks will be most appropriate for my husband who loves and collects guns.

His birthday is in April, and that pair of cufflinks would make a nice gift indeed!

Men’s Spring 2008 Fashion

By Puteri, March 14, 2008 2:47 pm

I am not much of a follower of men’s fashion but I did check out the Men’s Spring 2008 collection. Er, some of the styles are only fit to be worn on the catwalk! I can’t imagine any man actually wearing some of the outfits!

Personally, I prefer men’s fashion to be simple and understated. Classic if you like.

The following men’s fashion are from The Buckler, Lacoste, Z Zegna and Diesel’s Spring 2008 collection.

Do you see your boyfriend, or husband wearing any of the style shown here?
