Airbone on a lawn chair
Did you read about the Oregon man who took off into the air on his lawn chair with large helium-filled balloons tied to his chair? And can you believe that this was not his first trip on his lawn chair?!
I don’t know if the first time I read about a man flying off into the air on his lawn chair tied large balloons was this man, Kent Couch, or not. But I sure was amused when I read about it!
Doug told me that that was one of his dreams when he was a kid. Taking off into the air powered by balloons! I guess he had no idea where to get that many helium-filled balloons at that time, eh! I don’t doubt he would have gone on that flight if he had known where and had the money to get them!

Puteri,
I couldn’t afford the surplus weather balloons or helium that would have made it possible. I did make both hot air and gas filled balloons from large plastic bags. They would go soaring away but were incapable of carrying any weight.
I stopped playing with hot air balloons when one of them, carrying its own flame source, landed on a neighbors wooden roof. We had to run over, grab a hose, and spray it down quickly. Too dangerous!
