A boy and his cat

He loves to carry his cat on his shoulder but most of the time the cat tries to run away from him. He is still learning to treat his cat gently and learning not to spook his cat every time he approaches the cat.

Cows in the fog
Galt, California 2009

It was foggy this morning and I decided to drive up that country road where there were usually sheep or goats or cattle grazing in the field.

It was foggy enough and I didn’t dare stop too long because there were always cars passing by.

I found this group of cows grazing in the field and the shoulder on the road was wide enough for me to park safely while I took snapshots of the cows in the fog.

Horses

I had to take the picture of these horses through the fence because I am not tall enough to take it over the fence!

This horse ranch is next to the dairy from whence I took pictures of the dairy cows the other day. I love watching the horses especially in the morning when I pass by as I drive the kids to school.

There’s a dairy that I pass by every day as I drive the kids to and from school. Yesterday, I stopped along the road and took these pictures as they were feeding on the hay.

They remind me of the California Cows commercials that I really enjoy on TV!

There are many fluffy tailed rabbits at the Consumnes River Preserve. If you approach them quietly they will just continue with whatever they are doing. That makes it easy to photograph them.
