These very brightly-colored kayaks outside a marine supply store really caught my eye recently.
Water sports and boating are a big thing in my part of California because there are lakes, rivers and the ocean close by.

Last Christmas Doug and I took our friends, Margaret and Patrick, to Old Sacramento. In winter, it gets dark pretty early and that being the case, pictures taken late in the afternoon, don’t always come out the way you expect them to.
In any case, this picture of the Delta King, a riverboat that has been turned into a floating hotel, turned out better than expected.
