This is the only variety of dragonflies in my yard that is willing to let me photograph it! Every time I get too close, it will fly away from its perch but it always comes back!

It looks like it is doing a gymnastic routine, doesn’t it?

I love looking at the glassy wings! Amazing how much detail a camera lens can capture!

At the Academy of Sciences in San Francisco, there is a feature called the Rain Forest. It’s not big, but it was interesting enough. There were butterflies and birds in the place and I had a good time trying to photograph the butterflies.
This is just one of the few varieties of butterflies found in the rain forest at the academy.

Dew on a Daisy

A ladybug is not normally seen on a daisy, those found in my front yard, that is.
I picked up the ladybug and placed it on the daisy just so I could take a picture of it on the dewy filled daisy!

There were bees, flies, and butterflies buzzing and flitting among the flowers in my front yard today. Naturally, I just had to take snapshots of them buzzing and flitting from flower to flower.
