Butterfly (Doris longwing)
Academy of Sciences, San Francisco 2009

At the Academy of Sciences in San Francisco, there is a feature called the Rain Forest. It’s not big, but it was interesting enough. There were butterflies and birds in the place and I had a good time trying to photograph the butterflies.

This is just [...]

Dew on a Daisy
Galt, California 2009
A ladybug is not normally seen on a daisy, those found in my front yard, that is.
I picked up the ladybug and placed it on the daisy just so I could take a picture of it on the dewy filled daisy!

Spider
Consumnes River Preserve, California 2009

Water, Sun, Trees
Consumnes River Preserve, California 2009
I love the color picture of this scene, but I wanted to see if black and white is any less pretty. The reflection of the sun on the water blinded me a little and I had to move to a spot where the reflection was not blinding me [...]

A Little Butterfly
Galt, California 2009
There were bees, flies, and butterflies buzzing and flitting among the flowers in my front yard today. Naturally, I just had to take snapshots of them buzzing and flitting from flower to flower.
