Morning Glory
Galt, California 2009
I took a few pictures of the morning glories the same time I took the pictures of the daisies – the morning after the night rain.
I just love the framed in and spot coloring method of presenting the image!

A Pine Cone
Galt, California 2009
I went looking for pine cones yesterday, and there was only one hanging on the tree. I looked under the tree but I did not see any on the ground.
I guess there weren’t many to begin with, and those that had fallen on the ground, my son must have collected them.
I liked the end result of the framed in and spot colored barb wire I did yesterday, and thought the same effect would look great on the pine cone as well.

Daisies III
Galt, California 2009
I was browsing through a favorite site yesterday (where I download pictures for my desktop) and couldn’t help thinking how talented those people were who uploaded their pictures to the site.
This morning as I took the pictures of the daisies, still with droplets of rain on them, I was mindful of the different angles that I could use that would best present the daisies.
I wished I had a better camera that could take better quality macro pictures of the daisies!

White Orchid
Kuching, Malaysia 2009
I love to take pictures of plants, and flowers in particular. Beautiful flowers (as well as shiny and sparkly stuff!) appeal to the feminine side of my being.
I love the “glow” on the orchid which comes from the light behind. I should pay attention to such detail the next time I take pictures such as this.

Weed Flowers
Galt, California 2009
The hot summer sun is not kind to weeds. They dry up and die and what is left are dried plants and the dried flowers such as this particular one hanging over the fence in my front yard.
I wanted to capture the light and shadow of the evening sun on the dried flowers and the fence slate.
What do you think?
