I think its a cute picture of the boy and his cat. But then again, I am biased towards the people and the pets close to me!

That angelic face had a booger sticking on one nostril and food smudges around the mouth! Good thing I learned (accidentally, actually) how to use the healing tool in Photoshop, and cleaned up the face a bit!
It’s a steep learning curve when it comes to taking photographs of people and making them look nice in the process. My kids are ready models so, I should do this kind of photography more often!

I wished I had arrived early at the Harvest Festival yesterday. There would have more daylight and I would have had plenty of time for taking pictures. There were so many interesting faces and costumes at the festivities yesterday. Maybe next year, I’ll remember to go earlier!

A boy and his cat

He loves to carry his cat on his shoulder but most of the time the cat tries to run away from him. He is still learning to treat his cat gently and learning not to spook his cat every time he approaches the cat.

I was reading some comments about converting color pictures to black and white. I know very little, actually next to nothing, about fiddling with whatever in Photoshop to make a good black and white picture.
All I did previously was to turn the image using a photo editor to black and white and maybe darken it a little. That’s about it. With this picture, I tried fiddling with the Hue/Saturation, the Color and Contrast, etc.
I guess there’s still a lot to learn about converting a picture to black and white and give it that special well done black and white look.
