Kuching, Malaysia 2009
It was a hazy evening, not the most ideal time for photography. But I was quite surprised at how well the picture turned out. The hornbill (kenyalang) is the state bird of Sarawak and this steel sculpture of the kenyalang, found along the Waterfront in Kuching, is quite impressive.

Thank goodness for photo editing software! This interesting looking Chinese Gazebo did not come out this clearly when it was taken because it was already evening when I took a picture of it. I would have taken pictures of the details on the eaves of the gazebo but the light wasn’t that great and I did not want to fire up the flash on my little camera.
