In front of the Academy of Sciences building in San Francisco is a open air theater. This is the stage of that theater.

A Ceiling and its Reflection
Academy of Sciences, San Francisco 2009

I am always fascinated by reflections and this ceiling, in a restaurant at the Academy of Sciences in Francisco, provided me with the reflection that I am always looking out for when I photograph things.

Strange and unusual looking structures also fascinate me. :-)

Caldecott Tunnel
Caldecott Tunnel
California State Route 24, 2009

I took several pictures (through the car windshield) while we were driving through the tunnel and I chose this blurry one because I thought the blurred image showed the frenetic pace of the traffic going through the tunnel better than the not so blurry ones could.

My new camera arrived today. No, its not a DSLR.

I just had to take it out and try it as soon as the battery was charged. I just set it on auto and went around my property and took some photos. It was evening and the soft light was good for photographing pictures.

I thought sepia was ideal for presenting these old things found around my property.

My neighbour has this very old wooden fence around his property where in some parts, it is leaning at an angle where you expect it fall over completely any time soon. Along the fence are some rusty barb wires.

I saw a macro picture of a barb wire where the barb was framed in and spot colored. I thought it was a very interesting way of presenting the macro image and I just had to try and do a similar image!

I don’t know why the wooden post appears blue but I think the bright sun has something to do with it and also the color calibration on my camera may be a little off.

What do you think?
