Last night was the finale of the Dancing with the Stars series. I am hoping that Kristy Yamaguchi will win the competition. She deserves to win because she is a far superior dancer to the other two male finalists! And she scored perfect scores on both dances! Way to go, Kristy!

I can almost kick myself though, because I missed the time frame for voting!! By the time I made my calls to vote, the voting was over! Arrgghhh! I cannot wait to see the results show tonight!

I just hope that the finale of American Idol will not take more than an hour! As to American Idol, I am rooting for David Cook!! I will make sure I hit the redial button to vote for David Cook. I don’t know if that is going to be enough to counter all the votes the young girls will be giving to David Archuleta!

Too bad, I will be no where near a TV to watch the 2-hour American Idol results show tomorrow. I will be flying over the Pacific when the show comes on. So, so disappointed not to be able to see my favorite Idol crowned the winner!

Ok, this is my not so regular update on the two TV shows that I follow.

Mario was eliminated last night from the Dancing with the Stars.  He did not get very good reviews on Monday but I still think he is a much better dancer than Cristian.

Christian hurt his arm last week and was placed last on the leader board.  But he managed to get voted into the next round.  I think his vote was mostly sympathy vote.  I cannot see how his performance on Monday deserved such high scores!

Kristy Yamaguchi performed really well on Monday to my untrained eye but Carrie Anne did not like her 2nd performance.   Anyway I am glad that she made it safely to the next round.

As for American Idol, Jason Castro made a big mess of his performance last night.  I hope he will be the one to get eliminated tonight.  I have never been a fan, because I do not like his singing voice … so teeny!  It would be so unfair if one of the three contestants got eliminated.  They did far better than Jason and I agree with Simon Cowell.  Jason should pack his bags.

David Archuleta did well, and as for David Cook, I am rooting for him all the way!  I hit the redial button for as long as I could last night to make sure that he stayed on till the finale!  It was at this particular stage that Chris Daughtry got eliminated in the past!  I do not want to see David Cook suffer the same fate.

We shall see if Jason Castro will indeed leave the competition tonight.

Finally!  I don’t know how she managed to stay that long in the Top 10 without being eliminated before this.  I was shocked last week that Carly Smithson was eliminated before Brooke White!

Tom Sullivan, radio talk show and American idol fan, said the American Idol franchise would forever lose its credibility if Brooke White ended up in the finale!  I agree totally with that assessment.

Looking at who are left, I predict that the two Davids - Archuleta and Cook, would be the two finalists in the competition.  Between the two of them, I am rooting for David Cook!   :wink:

Can’t believe that in three weeks, it would be the finale of American Idol!  Looking forward to that show!

Last week, I was in LA with my family and a couple of friends who were visiting us. We naturally took them to Hollywood Boulevard and we walked along the Hollywood walk of fame. There were many interesting stores along the boulevard, and I especially resisted entering a lingerie store. There were all kinds of sexy lingerie but I can’t see myself shopping in the store without feeling embarrassed! Especially in front of my two fuddy-duddy visitors!

I carried my fashionable big bag all around Disneyland and LA last week. But one of the straps came undone when the stitching that held the strap together came undone. Fortunately, it happened on the last day of our stay in LA.

On Sunday, there as a Fiesta on Broadway in LA. The streets near Broadway were closed. We walked up and down two streets before calling it quits. It was a really hot day that day. What also made the situation worse for us was the air-conditioning in our van stopped working after a few minutes of turning it on when we arrived in southern California on Wednesday! What a miserable time we had in the hot van!

As for the fashionable big handbag, I should have just stuck to a little one. The bigger the bag, the more stuff you tend to put in it! Even Doug complained about the weight when I passed it to him!

I was away from home all week last week and missed my two favorite TV programs!

I did not watch American Idol where Carly Smithson got booted out. I have yet to watch her performance that resulted in her being eliminated from the show.

I did not watch Dancing with the Stars and missed Marlee Matlin’s performance which resulted in her missing the cut for the next round.

Last night I arrived in time, from my trip to southern California, to watch DWTS. I was sorry to see Kristy Yamaguchi, for the first time, not being at the top of the leader board. Naturally, I made sure to vote for her to keep her in the competition! Mark Ballas, her professional partner, was reminded that it was at that stage that he and Sabrina got booted out of the competition in the previous season. NO! I do not want to see Yamaguchi eliminated! I want to see her in the grand finale!

I hope American Idol will only last an hour today so I can watch the result show of DWTS!

I bought Doug a PDA a few Christmases ago, and he has bought quite a few accessories for it. I am not sure where he got them but I should let him know where to get Cheap PDA Accessories.

I have not uploaded new stuff on to my iPod for quite a while but since we are going on a trip this coming week, I have been busy uploading new things the last couple of days.

I downloaded a few American Idol tunes from iTunes, and a few documentaries that I have been meaning to watch from YouTube and also from Google Video. That should keep me busy for a while especially while in the car.

I haven’t had my iPod for more than a couple of years, but I am so tempted to get the latest model! I guess, I’ll just have to wait a while before I upgrade! Why waste money when the current one still works, eh?

We had a 91 degree weather two days ago! Wonderful weather but yesterday and today the wind started kicking and the weather cooled. I was so looking forward to the weather warming up some more so I could start wearing my lighter clothes and put on my shorts and capris.

I could do with a few new pieces of shorts and capris. For the summer and also for my upcoming trip to Malaysia. Doug especially need more shorts. Most of his shorts have become too tight for him!

I checked out RocaWear.com and checked out the men’s clothings. The Roca Wear Shorts look pretty cool though Doug does not care if he looks cool or not. The thing that matters most to him is that they are comfortable on him! Actually I rather like the men’s polo shirts at RocaWear.com. Doug could use a few polo shirts this summer.

This is the latest pair of slippers I got for myself. The weather’s warming up, so flip flops are in order! And I especially love those with beads and sequins!

I don’t know what the problem is with my toes. The last three toes of each foot look red. I was wearing my Skechers shoes to the market one day and by the time I got home they were all sore and looked like they had blisters on them! And they itch too! The more I rub the toes to ease the itchiness the redder they looked!

The last time I was at the doctor’s office I showed my feet to the doctor. He told me my shoes were too tight. Of course they weren’t! They look like you are allergic to something, he then said. That could be true. I was wearing a particular pair of socks one night, and boy did my toes start itching! Could it be the detergent that I washed my socks in? Other parts of my body are not itching. So. I am not sure what is going on, but by wearing slippers, my feet feel better. But the problem is, I have a tendency to kick my toes into something!

Oh well.
